Candace Donnelly

Hey, I'm Candace —

Mom of two, business owner, content creator, podcast host, and someone who is almost always following whatever I’m most excited about next.

My life and career have taken a lot of turns over the last few years, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that I don’t really believe we’re meant to fit neatly into one box.

I love business and big ideas. I love motherhood more than anything. I love creating, connecting, getting dressed, traveling, talking about the beauty product I’m currently obsessed with, and finding little ways to make everyday life feel more fun.

And I’m a big believer that what you focus on matters. Life isn’t perfect, motherhood definitely isn’t perfect, but I’m always trying to find the good in it anyway. Around here, I call that chasing the sunshine.

Basically, I’m interested in building a life that feels really good to live, and sharing all the pieces of it along the way.

My Story (the slightly unfiltered version)

I definitely did not have a five-year plan that led me here.

I started my business in 2020, and what began as virtual assistant work slowly turned into… a little bit of everything. I learned as I went, figured out what I was really good at, worked with some incredible people, built a business, became a mom, became a mom again, and kept following the things that interested me.

Somewhere in there, my best friend and I started a podcast because we wanted a place to have the conversations about motherhood we were already having with each other. Mom Group Chat became something so much bigger than we ever expected, and it reminded me how much I love creating, connecting with people, and sharing my own life too.

My career has changed a LOT over the years, and I’m sure it’ll change again. These days, I work with brands and businesses on marketing and creative, create content, host a podcast, mentor women building their own service-based businesses, and probably have three other ideas I’m trying not to start at any given moment.

There hasn’t been one perfectly straight path to any of it. I’ve just gotten really good at paying attention to what lights me up, trusting myself when something feels like the next right thing, and following my enthusiasm.

And honestly? I think that’s kind of the point.

still true

My Mission

I want women to know they have the power to create a life they genuinely love.

I believe in following your enthusiasm. Paying attention to what lights you up. Watering the parts of your life you want to grow. And knowing that if something isn’t working, you have the power to change it, even if that change starts with one really small step.

Especially as moms, I think it’s easy to get so caught up in taking care of everyone else that we forget to take a moment for ourselves. To remember who we are outside of motherhood. To have big ideas, try something new, care about the little things that make us happy, change our minds, and keep becoming whoever we want to be next.

I’ll always keep it real about what that actually looks like, the good, the messy, and everything in between. More than anything, I want this to be a space where women connect, feel understood, and leave a little more excited about their own lives.

What I Believe

  • Enthusiasm

    Follow what lights you up.
  • Intention

The grass is green where you water it.
  • Connection

Life is better when we do it together.

The Many Arms of What I Do

Business Owner

I built a business that lets me be present with my family and build something meaningful, without choosing one or the other. Now I share the tools and shifts that helped me get here so other moms can build work that fits their real lives.

Mentor

I help women start and grow online businesses with clarity, confidence, and way less overwhelm. Think: structure, honest guidance, and "okay but here's what you actually need to do next" energy.

Content Creator

I create content around motherhood, beauty, lifestyle, and the everyday moments that make us laugh, cry, or both before 9 a.m. If it's relatable mom life or a product that genuinely helps, I'm talking about it.

Podcast Host

On Mom Group Chat, Whitney and I unpack motherhood, identity, relationships, and all the things we're spiraling about this week. It's honest, unfiltered, and feels like sitting with your funniest, most comforting mom friends.
